How can you tell you have gynecomastia?
Gynecomastia is thick tissue underneath the nipple/areola complex. This thick gynecomastia tissue can feel like small rocks underneath your skin. An easy at-home test to see if you have gynecomastia is to pinch the skin of your abdomen and then pinch the nipple/areola complex and if you feel harder tissue in the chest area you potentially have gynecomastia.

How is gynecomastia surgery performed?
Dr. Azouz uses a combination of custom-made liposuction cannulas to remove fatty tissue surrounding the chest and lateral chest wall (armpit area). Dr. Azouz also does a direct excision of thicker tissue from the breasts during gynecomastia surgery. This is all done through a tiny incision that is camouflaged in the nipple/areola.
What kind of anesthesia is used during gynecomastia surgery?
